Medical insurance is the same insurance plan that you would use at your primary care doctor. At your eye doctor, medical insurance only provides coverage for chronic disease management, such as diabetes, cataracts, glaucoma, etc. Elective procedures (LASIK, IPL therapy, etc.) are not covered by medical insurance.
