Cataract and LASIK Co-Management

Cataract surgery and LASIK surgery are two very different procedures that can improve vision through surgical correction. Patients may be evaluated to determine whether they are good candidates for either procedure. If surgery is appropriate, a referral will be made to the surgeon best suited for the patient’s needs, and the surgeon’s office will contact the patient to schedule a consultation and discuss candidacy in greater detail.

Following surgery, our office works closely with both the patient and surgeon to help ensure proper healing and visual recovery. Post-operative appointments are often scheduled at specific intervals to monitor progress and address any concerns. In some cases, the surgeon may elect to perform some or all post-operative visits directly in order to closely monitor specialized conditions or potential complications.
