Vision insurance plans are separate from your medical/health insurance plan. Vision insurance is usually contracted with a third-party company that will provide benefits for a routine comprehensive eye exam. These benefits include an exam of the front and back of the eyes, an evaluation for glasses and/or contact lenses prescriptions, and material benefits which can be used for glasses OR contact lenses.
We accept the following Vision Insurance plans here at Accent on Vision Albuquerque:
- VSP (Vision Service Plan)
- Davis Vision (Commercial Plans Only)
We DO NOT ACCEPT the following Vision Insurance plans:
- Medicaid/Turquoise Care/Centennial Care
- EyeMed
- Spectera
- Superior Vision
Note: If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: dry eye, flashes/floaters, eye pain, chemical burn, sudden vision loss, “cobwebs” in vision, foreign body in eye(s), red & itchy eyes, sudden double vision, trauma to the eye(s), sudden onset of pain, severe light sensitivity, contact lens associated pain, red eye(s), etc.
These may be signs of a more serious medical issue and would not be considered a routine eye exam but will instead be submitted to your medical insurance. Co-pays and deductibles apply.
