Accent on Vision Albuquerque’s Financial Policy

By providing our office with your vision and medical insurance information, you are authorizing us to release all information necessary to those insurances to secure proper payment.

Vision insurance does not cover medical or surgical treatments, therefore the reason for the visit and diagnosis will dictate whether vision or medical insurance is billed.

A quote of benefits and/or authorization does not guarantee payment or verify patient eligibility. Payment of benefits are subject to all terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions of  member’s contract at time of service. An insurance company will only pay for services that it determines to be “reasonable and necessary.” Every effort will be made by our office to have all services and procedures pre-authorized by the patient’s insurance company. If they determine that a particular service is not reasonable and necessary, or that a particular service is not covered under the plan, the insurer will deny payment for that service. In the event of a denial, the patient may be financially responsible for the services and/or treatments.

All copays and balances are due at the time of service (including applicable deductibles). All balances older than 45 days may be subject to additional charges, interest, and/or collections. There are no refunds for services rendered or material purchases including eyeglasses. Our office accepts cash, credit and debit card, as well as CareCredit. We no longer accept checks as a form of payment.
